Register for the Cherry Blossom Festival Cosplay Contest, Parade, and Talent Show on 19 Apr 09

Japan Video & Media is once again sponsoring a cosplay contest for the upcoming annual Cherry Blossom Festival! Everyone is invited to participate in the parade, but the contest is limited to the first 100 signups only. You must register by April 12th either via this site or in person at the store in order to participate. All registered cosplayers will receive a prize courtesy of Japan Video & Media, and the contest winner will win a spot on the float!
The cosplay contest and parade will be held on Sunday, April 19th in front of City Hall. The contest check in time is at 10am and the contest will begin at 10:30am. Check in time for the parade is at 12 noon and the parade starts at 1pm.
Update 2009.02.16:
Cosplay activities will continue after the parade!
3:30pm – 4:00pm: Introduction of Costume Contest Winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place)
4:00pm – 4:30pm: Anime Talent Show (music performance)
Singers, dancers, and musical instrumentalists in cosplay (individual or group) are needed for the post-parade anime talent show! If you would like to participate, please describe your performance in the message area of the registration form.

I was wondering if I had to register for the parade. If so, what do I need to do to register ?
Unfortunately the deadline to register was a few days ago on April 12th. I was told that the deadline was necessary because the parade organizers needed to have a final head count in advance.

Hey Dominique, as long as you’re registered already it should be fine! When you check in just be sure to let them know in case they need to announce your cosplay character.
