Mikado Kids
By Ann • Feb 4, 2009Mikado Kids opened their store in the Tanforan shopping mall last summer having moved from their previous locations in the SF Japantown and Daly City Westfield malls. Their shop is bright, large, organized, and fully stocked with new anime goods — including official cosplay items — and toys of all kinds. They have an especially great selection of licensed anime/video game t-shirts and plush toys (Totoro, Domo, and Nintendo characters), and they also sell the full line of Sanrio merchandise (including a ton of Hello Kitty!). If you’re looking for some more “vintage” items, the back area has a shelf of older anime CDs and art books, and I also saw a small stack of single issue comics around (looked like mostly “Battle Angel Alita: Last Order” and “Ghost in the Shell: Man Machine Interface”).
If there’s an import item they don’t have, you can speak to them about placing a special order.

I am afraid to say it but I had a bad experience with this place.
I wanted to sell something and I thought I would give this store a chance but he ended up burning me. The stuff is nice there – marked up but that its nice to support anime stores. when i brought my stuff in he threw my stuff in the bargin bin and sold my stuff right away without even telling me.
in the end I am short 2 final fantasy action figures from 1997 that he gave me my cut — 10 bucks

i want there its awesome i wish they exported
their stuff is very good but pretty pricy i will give you that! just for a little necklace is about 12$ + tax! but you can find MOST of your anime needs but they need more kisuke stuff,okami ( alot of ppl will want that! XD )plushies ETC.,but all they got there are plushies that nobody buys anymore (seriously i secretly marked quite a few with a expo pen a few months back during the summer and 3 weeks have gone by and all the same ones were STILL there! but you can get some backpacks there and key chains but if you like hello-kitty thats a store for you! seriously though, half the store is practically hello-kitty crap and finally they are getting shipments of soul eater when its been out for a year now!the next time i go there i will hopefully be working there and be getting all the kinds of popular anime including, bleach, miku stuff and the crew (len,rin,and…lol i forgot the other girl!)and all the other LATEST and not the MONTH/YEAR old crap(not saying i hate it but they need new stuff! i mean, i ordered a kisuke cloak 2 months ago and it never came! WTF?????)hopefully i will be working there to help you all out! :]
