Hey Everyone! Just wanted to start with a brief introduction. My forum handle is Stythys, and I’ll be writing the newsletters from here on in. It wasn’t too long ago that I joined, but I really wanted to help out as much as I could, so here I am ^_^. Yoroshiku!

Lots of stuff happening next weekend =]. We have our regulars…

- BAAU (Bay-Area-Artists-Unite) meet
- Beefbowl Anime Showing
- No-Name anime club meeting

A few of us will be starting an SF anime group with a dinner meeting in Japantown at 6, probably at the restaurant “On the Bridge.”

Also, Neko Punch is back! Come listen to some unique Japanese power-pop at the Retox Lounge in SF — with Mikko on vocals, Mitch on bass, Joachim on drums, and featuring new guitarist Tony.

Also, there is a Final Fantasy Symphony concert happening next month. A lot of people seemed to have either lost interest and/or already bought tickets, but if you’re still interested in attending please send me (Stythys) a PM, or an email (stythys@bayanime.com), and we can at least buy our tickets together.

Community Highlights

For all of you that attended this year’s Fanime, Steve is doing an amazing job documenting his experience at the con. Be sure to check back often, as he’s doing ten separate articles on it!

And, as a final note, I’d like to encourage everyone to try and keep our forums as active as you can. We’re still trying to grow our small community here, so really, just think up topics about anything and post away! ^^
