From the TTV Fall Special Program flyer:
The “Hula dance” that the local girls performed earnestly was purely to save their coal mining town which was facing serious unemployment. A heartwarming and moving story that depicts the bonds of people who devoted their energy and soul in protecting their hometown. The first class cast starring Yasuko Matsuyuki, Yu Aoi, Etsuji Toyokawa and the Ukulele music written by Jake Shimabukuro makes the movie even more special and endearing. This movie is based on a true story.
Update 10.17.2008: TTV will be giving away 10 copies of the movie soundtrack signed by composer Jake Shimabukuro during the broadcast.
