I'm kind of interested in experimenting and starting a visual kei band? I'm interested in trying vocals, so I'm trying to see if anyone's interested in trying the instruments...

i'm a bit out of the loop regarding jrock music nowadays, but i do need more experience playing with a band. i mostly just jam with my friends, but we've never done a gig proper. i'm no virtuoso, but i think i can get by playing guitar (most comfortable with rhythm but could potentially do lead in a pinch, with enough practice). alternatively, i can fill in on simple bass or drums, since there's usually a surplus of guitarists out there.
i recall that a lot of the jrock stuff can get pretty technically challenging (i.e. x-japan), so it'd be a bit of an uphill battle if everyone's new to this. fortunately, japanese tab books are very thorough, and as long as everyone has reasonable expectations it should still be pretty fun...Posted 2 years ago # -
