Are you staying up-to-date with Bleach? The current arc (flashback series) is not bad. Interesting to see some of the back stories.

I stopped watching Bleach a bit past the Rukia rescue arc. How many hundreds of eps have I missed by now?

Dattebayo has translated up to 209. The Rukia rescue was not even into the double digits when Ichigo goes to Seretei to save Rukia from Aizen. According to Wiki it's the 3rd season ("The Rescue") which ends at ep 63(!).

I don't read the Manga so I have no idea what the main story arc is supposed to be. Currently, everybody is gearing up for war with Aizen and the rest of Hueco Mundo.

The flashback arc...is...well...ok...but they keep doing it in mind story.....they leave the current arc in a cliffhanger...and pull this bs.
it was even worse when they did that stupid "parallel" arc with Rurichio, the stock up brat.
