Anime FX Meeting 3/12: Kamen Rider

    This is your Kamen Rider/Sentai obsessed Vice President here to let you know that this Friday the 2nd Half of the viewing list will consist of 4 different Kamen Rider shows instead of your regular line up of Anime. I don't have the viewing list for before the break but i will edit this post once i get it but here are the 4 Kamen Rider shows you can expect to see on Friday.

    Kamen Rider Amazon Ep 1 (Only 70's Rider that's Subbed)
    Kamen Rider Black Ep 1 (Only 80's Rider that's Subbed)
    Kamen Rider Den-O Ep 1 (Probably the most popular rider in Japan right now)
    Kamen Rider Decade Ep 1 (10th Anniversary Rider since Kamen Rider came back in 1999)

    And if you crave more Kamen Rider I can let you know where to go to find more of that goodness.

    Also, since Pokemon Heart Gold Soul Silver comes out this Sunday, let's Pokemon battle this coming meeting to transition into the next game. Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, or Soul Silver is preferred.

    Anything older, and you'll need to post ahead of time to see if anyone else wants to bring the older games AND a link cable.

    On that topic, as I'm clearly too late to bring in the info, here's what I typed up:
    Anime FX Meeting: 3/12/2010
    Pokemon Union Room Gathering

    Ladies and Gentlemen, PokeFans of all ages! In preparation of the upcoming Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver release on the Sunday after this upcoming Anime FX meeting, I hereby propose a Pokemon Union Room Gathering! If you are a fan of the games, please bring in your game and a DS to do some wireless trading with us! If you haven't played up to the DS generations and are still on the GBA Generation of games, I plan on bringing in two GameBoy Advance SPs as well as one (maybe two) Game Link Cables for trading or record mixing!
    If you're not an active fan of the video games, but are a fan of the cards, bring in your decks! You may receive a challenge!
    And if you want, bring in your favorite piece of Pokemon merchandise, whether it's a plush toy, a PokeBall, clothes or anything at all!
    Cosplay will be encouraged as well!

    I'm debating bringing along my Wii as well, as I have a copy of Pokemon Rumble saved to my system, as well as My Pokemon Ranch (for those of you that want to see a herd of Buizel). If anybody has a copy of Pokemon Battle Revolution, we can even try to arrange some battles on a big screen!

    Is anybody else here as excited for a Pokemon themed gathering as I am? I hope to see lots of trainers to mix records with and do trades!

    Interested in hosting an event (i.e. Mystery Egg trades, Pokemon Contest competition, etc.)? Post here, and we'll see how it goes!

    If at all possible, can we post this announcement to the title of the page as well? Pleeease?

    Also, if we decide to do battling, is there a way to get 100 battles going? My guys aren't close to being 100, but they're hopefully battle-worthy. I know 100 battles is a feature of WiFi, but I don't know how to do it via local area.

    Also, in that case, I might bring my Silver version too, if there are going to be GBAs and cables.

    I am protesting that this was NOT posted on the Yahoo! Group. We either need to start making posts like this (and the one from last week and all other announcements like group outings)at both locations or scrap the Yahoo! group as our official channel of communication. So far the Yahoo! group is being SORELY neglected and almost ALL announcements are being made here. Yet there has been NO announcement that the AnimeFX sub-thread here at the Bay Anime forums is the new official channel of communication for the club. People like myself are missing out expecting to hear club news through the Yahoo! group only to get silence. And any talk with officers has been met with apathy.

    COME ON, PEOPLE! EITHER DOUBLE POST YAHOO! GROUP/BAY ANIME OR ANNOUNCE AND USE ONE OVER THE OTHER!
