several years ago i joined a server and a rag-tag team that had been losing match after match. shortly after a few new players joined our team. we lost the following matches but i sensed that the tide was turning and that we were becoming more cohesive. this all culminated in a moment that i will never forget:
i had retrieved the "objective" and was met with a small escort as i made my way to return the "objective" and win the match. everything was so surreal and was in slow motion as i sprinted. the marksmanship of my teammates was phenomenal as i was unscathed and didn't have to deviate from my course. as i made the home stretch i saw teammate after teammate in perfect defensive positions as they laid down intense and deadly covering fire to allow me to win the match for our team.
i was in awe as the disharmonious became harmonious and how in one moment total strangers had worked together as if they had known each other for years.
