This does NOT include manga. We'll save that for another thread ^^.</p> <p>My favorite anime are:</p> <p>Hana Yori Dango (absolutely my #1 favorite)<br /> Candy Candy<br /> Touch<br /> Rose of Versailles<br /> Garasu no Kamen<br /> Oniisama E..<br /> Full Moon o Sagashite<br /> Fruits Basket<br /> Nurse Angel Ririka<br /> Hime-chan no Ribbon<br /> Marmalade Boy<br /> Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne<br /> Fushigi Yuugi<br /> Chance Pop Session<br /> And of course Sailormoon!</p> <p>Hmm as you can see, I like mostly the older series. I think they have more depth in their characters.. Or maybe I just like the storyline better.. Who knows ^^ I'm not too into the super ultra cutesy ones where the characters are chibi-fied every 5 frames or so. I haven't really been into anything new lately, but I haven't really been looking either, because I'm more into reading manga. Oh well, there's my list. Now how about yours? Feel free to be more descriptive about what you like about a certain anime, etc.</p> <p>For myself, Hana Yori Dango is my all around #1 series; I love the anime, manga, live action series, movie, live action movie, etc. I did NOT care for Meteor Garden though, but that's it. Now why do I love HYD so much? I really like Makino's character. She can be frustrating at times, but she's very independent and she definitely softens up (finally) over time, but it takes a LOT. She's poor, she's proud, she doesn't take crap from anyone. But she's very caring and looks out for her loved ones. And Doumyoji.. oh my gosh, I love him! They are perfect for each other. Sorry Rui, you aren't the one for her, no way! Anyways, it's your typical drama/soap opera romance and I'm a sap for those kinds of things. I'll take reality over space demons any ol' day! And I love this series so much, that years ago, I spent a lot of money trying to find all the toys and goods that came from the anime. I have almost all of the toys (like the bath scrubs, the recorder, fortune teller thing, etc). It's all worth it to me though :) </p>
