Our site has a brand new look! Both our logo and “Beardog” mascot graphics were designed by San Francisco-based Joachim Müller-Lancé of Kame Design.

Joachim is an internationally-renowned designer and recipient of multiple Morisawa awards. Not only does he specialize in Japanese design… he is also a fan of anime, manga, and J-Pop music (his favorite artist is Shiina Ringo)! He currently plays drums in Neko Punch, a local J-Pop band.

Due to a number of factors I will no longer have the time to update this site on a regular basis. Rather than continuing to operate it in a sub-par manner, I’d like to give anyone and everyone in the Bay Area anime community the opportunity to volunteer their time and efforts to contribute and help to maintain the content of the site. I am more than willing to continue providing hosting and with technical maintenance of the site; however anyone wanting to provide technical assistance is also welcome!

With increased participation, I am sure both this site and the community surrounding it will continue to flourish! I look forward to hearing from you and hope to see BayAnime continuing to provide for all of us in the future.

There’s a lot going on here and we’re a brand new organization… so we need your help! We are actively seeking submissions of articles, tips, and listings for our website. We’re also looking for individuals to help us compile information for our directory, keep the site up-to-date on current events, and moderate our community forums.
