Come one, Come all to the 3rd Annual Haunted Spring mansion Halloween Party. COSTUME IS REQUIRED!!! even if you are already naturally scary looking. The Spring Mansion is the biggest residential house in Berkeley. The property is huge and has enough space to bury all of you. There is parking, but due to the large number of people please carpool or use public transportation. If you plan on drinking, please have a Designated driver. There is plenty of street parking and spaces available inside the gate but do not block any other cars. We will have one Keg and the roomies will have drinks available. Your also welcome to b.y.o.b. Have fun and be safe. Your welcome to forward this evite to your friends.

Now that we got the glitches out of our system and we finally have a room, it’s now time to get our hands dirty and really get the festivities started.

Ladies and Gentlemen of BayAnime, I am pleased to announce that our open house for AnimeFX will be this Friday. Come and enjoy our anime viewing room while socializing with those who are interested in both Japanese anime and manga. Who knows? You might walk away with a few more friends than you did before. Last week we had a great time socializing, playing board gamesm and even had a mini cosplay photoshoot on campus. Food will be provided but don’t expect a three course meal… we are anime fans after all.

Come One Come All to the 18th Annual BAAS Summer BBQ!

Hosted by: The Bay Area Animation Society (BAAS)
When: Saturday, August 22 from 1pm to 10pm
Where: 733 Santa Maria Road, El Sobrante, CA
What to bring: Your appetite! Snacks, sodas, ice, etc. are always welcome though.
Why you should come: Fun, food, friends, and the annual raffle.

MENU:

So far… we have 16 slabs of Ribs, to be followed by some Chicken and probably
a Beef or Pork Roast.

For those who are not so meat-centered (why not?) Mrs. Brown’s Collard Greens and World Famous Deviled Eggs will making a comeback. And Tracy’s not so famous Broccoli Slaw and OMG! That’s Big! Cheeseball. A more detailed list will be available the week before the BBQ.

As always, we ask you to please bring drinks,ice,games, snacks and movies to watch.

Also, bring a jacket. Expect the temperature to drop with the sun.

Exact location is to be decided, tentatively, let’s make it the park at the Farmer’s Market (1 block west of Downtown Berkeley BART on Center Street) could be a good one if the weather is nice. It’d be nice to do some outdoor drawing for a change.

BAAU members will be gathering at our usual place at 12 noon to 5pm, inside the mall in the Kinokuniya building on the benches in the middle of the atrium facing Sophies Crepes and the Kinokuniya Bookstore. There will be a Comic Jam!
